Deny PKR is a free-sex party

"bisexuals were unqualified to be a prime minister or opposition leader"

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail - together with her daughter, Nurul Izzah Anwar, and another woman - must hold a joint press conference to deny that PKR is a "free-sex party", said a non-governmental organisation.

Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) national director Noraini Abdul Khalil Saferi said yesterday that allegations made by Senator Datuk S. Nallakaruppan against Dr Wan Azizah's husband, opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, were serious from a "political perspective and to his dignity".

"The people will want to hear an explanation from her (Dr Wan Azizah), her daughter (Nurul Izzah) and Shamsidar Taharin (PKR deputy president Azmin Ali's wife) regarding allegations of sexual misconduct against Anwar."

On Friday, JMM national director Farahana Jamaludin had called for Dr Wan Azizah to swear under oath that her husband was not a bisexual, as alleged by Nallakaruppan.

Farahana had asked Dr Wan Azizah to comment on whether she agreed with Nallakaruppan's statement that "bisexuals were unqualified to be a prime minister or opposition leader".
